This is Nina's dad..

He was so engrossed in explaining to me his encounter with Indira gandhi where they had to share the same car :-) He also predicted indira's raise and fall in the elections and won loads of whisky bottles for that :-) very interesting story.... he deserves a credit in "rajneeti" movie for sure :-) I really wanted to speak a lot more with him ... Went to a technical presentation in the university and got a historical refreshment of india in the late 70s :-) it was too gud :-)

By the way, he seems to have acted in the movie "rocky" starring our infamous sunil dutt :-)

Going for a long drive with winni for martial arts class

I thought the class was in our place.. But winii drove me to the neighboring city... It was a fantastic drive... had never touched 160 km/hr on a car :-)

The martial arts class was good... it was more of technique than fitness... I like the other way though!!!!

My first talk....

Had my first talk... it was for 60 minutes out of which i spoke for just 20 mins... the rest was spent on asking sooooooooooooo many questions by Agnes, gergely and Nina...

Agnes is surprised with my results, gergeley is trying to give me 10 new ideas while Nina is trying to solve a conjecture :-)

This is Lisa, a second year medicine student at the university of Heidelberg, she is the one who is lending me her apartment for the next two months... A very nice gal and probably the only one who speaks good english of all Germans I met so far.

My new apartment starting july. It is in 11th floor and the view is beautiful. :-)

Finally done with shopping.

Uff. Became dead meat after shopping so much. Like a fitness maniac I shopped all possible food items to stock for the next ten days. Gave a nice warm smile to the lady at the cash counter and took my stuff in four bags. I lifted the bags and felt like barbell deadlifting hundred kgs. Carried all this to the tram station and it started raining. Was optimistic that it'll not rain but the rain gods knew I was an atheist and weren't very considerate of my optimism. :-(( poor me, came and reached my guest house just now. Trust me I'll never forget this day. Mummy! How I wish you were there so that I needn't struggle with the daily chores

Paid 5 Euros and ordered this fried rice and I was given enough quantity to feed the entire city :-)

Asia magic!

This is called the asia magic and probably is the best maggi variation I have ever tasted... Nina (my boss) got me this. That was surely a very good gift ... something which I cooked the first time here :-)

Never touched!

yeah... I actually touched them.. but never used them! Although I am good at cooking, I am a lil bad at cleaning!

i am sure my wife and children... 10 years from now would want to comment on this blog entry "Oh ya, you still are!!!!"

First row: Chocolate, I didn't buy it.. my friend gave me :-(

Second row: Butter and eggs (yeah, they are weird in colour but taste very much the same)

third row: yogurt and yeah, yogurt here tastes the best and is more nutritious too.

Fourth row: Milk, skimmed milk, tomato jam and sweet jam.

Can live with just these! for weeks and months :-)

Best part about this place is that, healthy food is extremely inexpensive. Oats/museli/corn-flakes is a rich man's breakfast in bangalore... while here it is a lower-bounder in comparison to other kinds of food!!!!

So, all you fitness freaks... You are welcome to join me for a high protein, rich in starch and low carb breakfast ;-)
