An Auto Driver Calls me a Fool

I hit on a small talk with my autodriver and somehow our talks converged to education and career. He suggested me to write IAS and become an IAS officer. He says I can become rich in no time and that I can happily retire in 10 years. When I told him I can't be corrupted, he raised his hands and told me I was a fool and that I didn't know how to live :-) (nimige badhkakke gothilla). That is when I clicked this picture :-)

He told me that he would ensure that his children wouldn't talk righteousness like me, and that he would tell his kids that there is nothing wrong in taking bribery ;-)

All in all, had an interesting ride both in the auto and after getting out :-))))))

  2. I told him exactly that but he doesn't seem to agree. He represents majority of the indian population. Scary to think whether this mentality in the lower middle class will ever come to termination!

  3. I wonder whether his kid will accept ALL what he says.
The kid who gets out of IAS exam in current situation will be having sound mind to see that bribery is not the way of living. I might be wrong, but thats what seems to be true.

  8. People who did not have a creative mindset or best rather played victim to the circumstances never mattered for most part of the human history !

However the only catch is that , such people have the power (if empowered) to slow down the pace of evolution in social/political/religious realms of current human experience around the world.

To preempt such a slowing down of the pace, one can consciously choose to empower people, processes, things in nature which will help all of us reach a higher order of reality in these realms.

I believe you are not aware of hundreds of honest civil servants who are working day and night for the welfare of the society. A diverse country like India is held together by the steel frame of bureaucracy. As with other jobs like yours, there are few rotten apples even in civil services.
Also, there are many people who aspire for civil services to be part of developmental process, to alleviate poverty and hardship of the masses.Plz do not make such sweeping statements and give respect where it is deserved.
